AC Shadows Unveils Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a unexpected collaboration that challenges conventional predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned rituals and terrifying transformations echo through the darkness." The narrative features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden cult.
The mission focuses on "bizarre tests and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Additional Content
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an special katana together with several items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
